The Everette H. and Edith P. Griffin Memorial Scholarship is available to students with financial need who have a documented visual impairment or deafness to attend a private primary, secondary, or postsecondary school. Students who reside in the South Hampton Roads area of Virginia are encouraged to apply. The South Hampton Roads area includes the cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Isle of Wight County. Students from the Western Tidewater region (Isle of Wight County, Southampton County, Franklin, and Suffolk) receive special consideration.
