The First in the Family Humanist Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who identify as atheist, agnostic, humanist and/or secular and come from underrepresented and under-served groups.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the US who plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college; preference is given to those entering as the first member of their family to do so.
  • Applicants must be students of color (Black/African American, Latino(a), Asian/Pacific Islander, Native American) who are (or have been) in foster care, homeless, undocumented, group home or systeminvolved, and/or LGBTQIA+.
  • They must have a record of participation in school and/or community organizations.
