Friends in Art Scholarship provides financial assistance to blind students who are majoring or planning to major in fields related to the arts.

Requirements

This program is open to legally blind high school seniors and college students who are majoring or planning to major in music, art, drama, or creative writing.

Music students must submit a video with their performance of a fast piece and a slow piece; art students must submit 10 electronic images of their work; drama students must submit a video with a dramatic presentation and a comic presentation; creative writing students must submit 2 to 5 poems or 1,500 words of prose.

Selection is based on achievement, talent, and excellence in the arts.

Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
