The Friends of Alan Turing Scholarship is available to LGBTQ+ and allied students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington pursuing postsecondary education. Students studying in the STEM-related field are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years
  • High school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, graduate, law, medical degree, or Ph.D
  • Studying in the field of STEM
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Proven leadership potential in the LGBTQ+ community or field of study
  • Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system
  • Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised
  • Demonstrate financial need
