The Gabriel Sanchez-Sandoval Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to the children of farmworkers in California.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school graduates, and current college students who are farmworkers or the children of California farmworkers.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an accredited college or university, or vocational school.
  • They or their parents must have been employed by a California Farm Labor Contractor (FLC) California Farm Labor Contractor Association (CFLCA) FLC member in the past 12 months.
  • Children of grower/packer employees, FLCs, and management/administrative staff are ineligible.
  • Preference is given to children of CFLCA FLC member employees.
  • Applicants must submit 1) a 1page resume of the work, community service, educational, and extracurricular activities; and 2) an essay of 300 to 400 words on why they should be selected to receive this scholarship.
