The George E. McGuire Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for graduate nursing education to members of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) who can demonstrate a focus on social justice.

Requirements

Enrolled in a nursing degree program with at least 1 full semester or quarter of school remaining.

Seeking a master's or doctoral degree.

Member of NBNA (an associaton of African American nurses).

Demonstrate a focus on social justice by working with others so that health care access and positive health outcomes are achieved for all of society.

Participate in community service and extracurricular activities.

Involved in activities impacting on the health and social condition of African Americans and other culturally diverse groups.
