Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Georgia who are the children of active-duty law enforcement and fire service personnel and are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Georgia who have been accepted at an accredited college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must have a father, mother, or legal guardian who is a fulltime active employee (not on disability and not an administrative staff member) of the police or sheriff's department or a paid employee or volunteer of a fire department in Georgia.
  • Selection is based on an essay on what it means to them to have their parent or guardian involved in securing our community (25 points), grade average (25 points), SAT or ACT scores (30 points), academic prizes, awards, school and outside extracurricular activities, and hobbies (20 points); financial need is not considered.
