Requirements

This program is open to 1) seniors who are graduating from a Maine high school; and 2) residents of Maine who have graduated from high school but have delayed going to college for no more than 1 year.

Applicants must be interested in attending a postsecondary institution in Maine and majoring in a field related to commercial farming, fishing, or forest products, or in another field with the intention of working in businesses related to those industries.

They must be involved in 4H activities.

Selection is based on academic ability (SAT/ACT score, class rank, GPA), dedication to 4H, dedication to volunteerism, leadership ability, and career aspirations; financial need is not considered.
