Requirements
  • This program is open to members of United Methodist Church (UMC) congregations in any state who are of African descent.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited institution of higher education to work on an undergraduate degree in a field of public service (e.g., the ministry, social work, health care, or government service).
  • They must be between 16 and 25 years of age and have a GPA of at least "C" in high school and/or 2.75 or higher in college.
  • Selection is based on academic record, leadership potential, a letter of recommendation from a UMC local pastor, and financial need.
