Requirements

This program is open to residents of San Benito County who are high school seniors or graduates.

Residents of other counties who have been an employee or volunteer for the San Benito Health Care District for at least 1 year are also eligible.

Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited institution in any state and preparing for a career in a field of health care.

Selection is based on school standing (grades, ranking), specific health field, commitment to the medical profession, volunteer work at Hazel Hawkins Hospital, motivation to return to the community to work, community service, and financial need.
