Requirements

This program is open to JACL members who are high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students.

Applicants must be attending or planning to attend a college, university, trade school, or business college.

They must submit information on their involvement in JACL and a 2page essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to Japanese Americans.

Selection is based on that essay, academic history, JACL involvement, school activities, work history, scholastic honors, and community involvement.
