Hilmar Cheese Company Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors and current undergraduates who either have a connection to Hilmar Cheese Company or are residents of designated counties in California and Texas and majoring in agriculture.

Requirements

This program is open to 3 categories of students who are graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates: 1) children of Hilmar Cheese Company employees; 2) children of dairy farmers who ship milk to the company; and 3) residents of Merced or Stanislaus counties in California or Dallam or Hartley counties in Texas who are majoring or planning to major in agriculture.

Applicants must submit transcripts that include SAT or ACT scores; an essay describing their involvement in agriculture, extracurricular activities, work experience, and community service; an essay describing their future plans and ambitions; and an essay on how the dairy industry has influenced their lives and how they will impact the dairy industry in the future.
