Iowa Women in Natural Resources Scholarship provides financial assistance to students in Iowa interested in studying a field related to natural resources at a college in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to students, regardless of gender, enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, or community college in Iowa.

Applicants must be preparing for a career in a field of natural resources, including wildlife, fisheries, environmental management, forest resources, nongame specialists, environmental education, conservation law enforcement, or related fields.

They must be working on or planning to work on a conservation project and submit a personal essay that covers their education and career goals, personal philosophy on how individuals can make positive impacts that affect the environment and natural resources, and employment and volunteer experience.

Selection is based on the essay (50%) and the project's relationship to conservation, application to science and natural resources, completeness of description, expected outcome, and feasibility of implementation (50%).
