The ITE Diversity Scholars Program provides financial assistance to high school seniors and community college transfer students who come from underrepresented backgrounds and are interested in working on a degree in transportation engineering. Students who are the first in their family to attend college and/or come from a low-income family receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Graduating high school senior or community college transfer student.
  • Planning to enroll full time at a college or university that has a student chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) .
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in transportation engineering, planning, or a related field.
  • African American; Native American, Alaskan, Hawaiian; or Hispanic/Latino.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Participate in extracurricular and community service activities.
  • Demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students who are the first in their family to attend college and/or come from a lowincome family.
