Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors of Japanese descent graduating from high schools in the New York tri-state area who plan to attend a 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit their latest transcript with a copy of SAT or ACT scores, a letter of recommendation from their school counselor or teacher, and information on any special financial circumstances.
  • Selection is based on that information as well as a 500word essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to Japan and/or Japanese Americans.
