The Jim Beyster Engineering Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from San Diego County, California, who are seeking a bachelor's degree in a core engineering field in California. Students who have a strong commitment to their community and participate in an out-of-classroom experience in science, technology, or engineering-related projects are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Resident of San Diego County, California for at least 1 year
  • Graduating high school senior planning to attend an ABET ( Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) 4year college or university in California
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in a core engineering field (i.e., civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial/manufacturing, bio/biomedical, or aerospace)
  • U.S. citizen
  • Participate in extracurricular activities or work/volunteer experience (100 hours minimum)
  • Demonstrate financial need
