Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and students enrolled full or part time in a 1-year diploma in a welding-related field, a 2-year associate degree in welding or engineering, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in welding or engineering.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Selection is based on that statement, academic record, membership in the American Welding Society (AWS), extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, financial need, and an interview.
