John L. Dales Standard Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to members and children of members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).

Requirements

This program is open to 1) members of SAG-AFTRA who have been members for at least 5 years, have lifetime earnings under guild jurisdiction of at least $40,000, and are younger than 22 years of age; and 2) children of a parent who has been a member for at least 10 years or has aggregate earnings under guild jurisdiction of at least $225,000 and are younger than 26 years of age.

Dependents of honorably withdrawn or deceased members are also eligible.

Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime at an accredited college, university, community college, specialty/adult school, or vocational/trade school.
