John Pierce Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to high school seniors who have participated in the tackle program of the Metropolitan Youth Football Association (MYFA) in the Cedar Rapids area of Iowa and plan to attend college, university, or trade school in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors who participated in the MYFA tackle program in the Cedar Rapids area.

Applicants must be planning to continue their education at a college, university, trade school, community college, or apprenticeship program in any state.

They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and a record of active involvement in community service.

In the selection process, consideration is given to sportsmanship and citizenship qualities, high moral character, and potential for leadership and academic success.
