John Voelker Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of the service area of the La Plata Electric Association (LPEA) in Colorado who are interested in attending a vocational/technical school or community college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of the LPEA service area who are currently enrolled at a vocational/technical school or community college in any state.

Applicants must submit transcripts that include ACT and/or SAT scores, letters of recommendation, a list of honors and/or extracurricular activities, and a 500word essay on their college education goals and how those goals could relate to a career in a rural electric cooperative association.
