John W. Youtsey Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Georgia who have a bleeding disorder or have lost a parent because of the disorder and are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Georgia who 1) have hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, or other inherited bleeding disorder; or 2) are children whose parent died as a result of complications from a bleeding disorder.
  • Applicants or their deceased parents must be or have been clients of Hemophilia of Georgia.
  • They may be graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled at an accredited college, university, vocational/technical school, or professional degree program in any state.
  • Selection is based on academic record, financial need, and personal goals.
  • Recipients must provide at least 12 hours of volunteer service with Hemophilia of Georgia.
