The Joseph and Ruby Schaff/Schaff Angus Ranch Scholarship provide financial assistance to residents of North Dakota who have been members of the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) and are enrolled or planning to enroll in any field at a college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of North Dakota who have been a member of the NJAA in the past and currently are junior, regular, or life members of the American Angus Association.
  • Applicants must be either high school seniors or already enrolled in college in any state and working full time on an undergraduate degree in any field.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and be younger than 25 years of age.
  • Selection is based on those essays; academic achievement; Angus competitive activities and involvement; Angus leadership activities; FFA, 4H, and other agricultural organization involvement; other high school or collegiate organization, community, civic, and church activities; an essay on their leadership potential, career goals, and ambitions for the future, especially how they will promote, advocate, and support the Angus breed and beef cattle industry in their plans; and general effect of the application.
