Requirements

The program is open to high school seniors with gap year students entering college in the following fall.

Applicants must have an immediate family member who is part of the foreign affairs agency community and belongs to AAFSW. They must submit a list of all volunteer activities in which they have participated in high school, including any significant achievements, awards, or recognition.

They also must submit a 500word essay describing which of those activities has been most significant for them and why.
