The Karen Phillips Scholarship was created in 2019 by Roy O'Dell Phillips to honor his late wife. Students who are residents of Dare County in North Carolina and are seeking a degree in the medical field are encouraged to apply. The program is managed by Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.
