Kentucky Highway Industries Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to high school seniors and current undergraduate students who have a relative employed by a member firm of an organization affiliated with Kentucky Highway Industries.

Requirements

This program is open to students entering or attending an institution of higher education in Kentucky whose relative has been employed for at least 1 year by a member company of the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors (KAHC), Kentucky Crushed Stone Association (KCSA), or Plantmix Asphalt Industry of Kentucky (PAIKY).

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Special consideration is given to students who demonstrate a willingness and desire to be employed in the crushed stone, hot mix, or highway and road building industries.

Selection is based on financial need (50%), academics (35%), and the essay (15%).
