KSPE George M. Binder Scholarship provides financial assistance to students working on a degree in engineering at a college in Kentucky.

Requirements

This program is open to students who have completed at least 4 semesters of an ABET-accredited engineering program in Kentucky with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Applicants must be members of a recognized student engineering organization, such as the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE), Tau Beta Pi, Chi Epsilon, ASCE, ASME, IEEE, or SWE. Along with their application, they must submit a short essay on why they want to be an engineer.

Selection is based on that essay, overall GPA, participation in civic and volunteer organizations, professional activities, professional publications, and work experience.

Special consideration is given to involvement in KSPE or the student chapter of KSPE.
