Requirements
  • This program is open to Kern County residents who are either graduating from high school or currently attending college.
  • Applicants must be majoring or planning to major in an agricultural field (e.g., fashion and textiles, soil science, nutrition, crop science, marketing, animal science, genetics, plant science, environmental research, and conservation).
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be U.S. legal residents.
  • Selection is based on that essay, membership in agricultural organizations, and community service.
  • If chosen as a finalist, students must read their essay entry to the auxiliary during 1 of its regular membership meetings.
