Requirements

This program is open to students between 16 and 25 years of age who are enrolled or planning to enroll full or part-time at a college, university, or technical school in any state.

Applicants must have a parent who has been killed or seriously injured as a result of a workrelated accident with a California employer that meets the criteria of the California Workers' Compensation Act, although neither the student nor the parent is required to be residents of California.

Selection is based on academic achievement, aptitude, community service, and financial need.
