Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Kings County, California who plan to study agriculture at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or vocational education institution in any state.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Selection is based on that essay, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and commitment to a career in agriculture.

Preference is given to applicants who 1) demonstrate service to Kings County agriculture or the Kings County Farm Bureau (KCGB) through some form of volunteerism or community service; or 2) have a parent, employer, or relative who is a KCFB member.
