Korean Honor Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students of Korean or Korean American heritage.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students of Korean or Korean American heritage.
  • Applicants must be enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate program for at least one year prior to application or enrolling or enrolled in a graduate degree program at a college or university in the United States.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students who did not graduate middle and/or high school in Korea must submit one of the following: US high school transcript with Korean language courses averaging a B+ or higher, SAT II Korean test score of 700+,TOPIK demonstrating proficiency in Koren (grade 5 or 6), or NEWL/Korean Test Score by the American Council for International Education.
  • Art students must also submit a CD with 10 pieces of their original work.
  • Students in music must also submit a 20minute performance DVD of their playing.
  • Students who wish to be considered for consideration as adoptees or disabled must submit documentation of their status.
  • Selection is based on submitted material, transcripts, a resume, awards, honors, extracurricular activities, and a letter of recommendation.
  • Applications must be submitted to regional consular offices closest to the student's college or university (in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.).
