Lead a Legacy Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are members of Missouri DECA, have a record of giving back through community service, and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors who are members of Missouri DECA and can demonstrate a spirit of making a positive difference through community service.

Applicants must be interested in attending an accredited 2 or 4-year postsecondary institution in any state to continue their study of business administration, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, or a related field.

Their adviser must submit a letter of recommendation that describes their character and service to others.

Students must submit an essay on their philosophy of giving back and their plans to help future Missouri DECA members; another essay on their career plans and goals for the future; a list of honors, awards, and leadership positions through involvement in DECA and other schools, work, and community organizations; a list of volunteer service activities; transcripts; 3 letters of recommendation; and ACT or SAT scores.
