League of United Latin American Citizens National Scholastic Achievement Scholarship provides financial assistance to academically outstanding Hispanic American undergraduate and graduate students.

Requirements
  • This program is open to Hispanic Americans who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students currently enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college or university as a graduate or undergraduate student.
  • Applicants who are already in college must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Entering freshmen must have ACT scores of 29 or higher or SAT scores of 1350 or higher.
  • In addition, applicants must demonstrate motivation, sincerity, and community involvement through a personal interview and in a 300word essay on how their academic studies will contribute to their personal and professional goals.
  • Need, community involvement, and leadership activities are also considered.
  • Candidates must live near a participating local council of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and must apply directly to that council.
  • Applications must be obtained directly from participating LULAC councils; for a list, send a selfaddressed stamped envelope to the sponsor.
