The Leroy Ripper Scholarship program supports graduating high school seniors of Cherokee or Clay counties in North Carolina. Students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership skills, and participation in community service are encouraged to apply. Students who demonstrate financial need receive special consideration.

Graduating senior of a public high school, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, UNC School of the Arts High School, TriCounty Early College High School, or an NC registered home school

Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree

Fulltime student

Planning to attend school in the U.S.

Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, leadership, or work

Exhibit strong moral character and academic promise Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need.
