The LifeWorks Southern California Edison Scholarship provides financial assistance to LGBTQIA+ students who plan to study a field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) at a college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to LGBTQIA+ high school seniors, GED, and current college students.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be majoring or planning to major in the following specific areas of study: 1) business (management information systems); 2) computer and information services (computer programming, computer science, information systems); 3) engineering (biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical and communication, industrial, materials, mechanical, nano, nuclear, software); 4) engineering technology (computer, construction, drafting, electrical, mechanical, surveying, telecommunication); 5) mathematics (applied mathematics, statistics, mathematics); 6) natural resources and conservation (environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, natural resources and conservation, wildlife and wilderness); and 7) physical sciences (applied physics, applied chemistry, geology/earth science, chemistry, geophysics, physics).
