Requirements

This program is open to graduating high school seniors and students under the age of 24 and currently enrolled full-time as undergraduate or graduate students at a college or university.

Applicants must be residents of Rhode Island or students currently attending college.

They must identify as LGBT or have been raised in an LGBTQ+ household.

Selection is based on academic potential and/or evidence of academic achievement participation and leadership in school and community activity; clarity of future goals and determination to achieve those; the sense of personal integrity, ethical judgment, and honesty; maturity and positive sense of self as an LGBT person or person raised in an LGBTQ+ household; service to the community through youth activism and support of LGBTQ+ rights.
