Lower Brule Sioux Tribe Higher Education Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe (LBST) who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to enrolled LBST members who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university in any state.

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and apply for a federal Pell Grant, even though they do not qualify for needbased financial aid.

In the selection process, first priority is given to students living on or near the Lower Brule reservation in Lyman County, South Dakota; second to residents of South Dakota; third to residents of other states.
