Maine Christmas Tree Association Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and current college students who have a tie to the Maine Christmas Tree Association (MCTA) and are interested in Christmas tree farming.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Maine who are graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled at a 2- or 4-year college or university in any state.

Applicants should have experience on a Christmas tree farm or come from a family currently an MCTA member.

Preference is given to those who have been involved in the Christmas tree industry in some form and/or those interested in a career in natural resources.

They must submit a letter of intent that includes why they are applying, their interest in the industry, their financial problems (if any), prior experience, and career goals.
