Marine Trades Association of New Jersey Family Scholarship provides financial assistance to children of employees of member firms of the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and full-time freshmen, sophomores, and juniors younger than 23 years of age enrolled at accredited colleges, universities, or vocational schools in any state.

Applicants must have a parent, stepparent, or guardian who has been employed for at least 1 year at an eligible MTA/NJ member company.

They must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher and acceptable ACT or SAT scores.

Selection is based on academic record, test scores, leadership abilities as demonstrated by extracurricular activities and work record, and financial need.
