Requirements

This program is open to people who are affected directly or indirectly by hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, another hereditary bleeding disorder, Gaucher Disease, or hemochromatosis.

Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university, vocational/technical school, or certified training program as an undergraduate or graduate student.

They must be residents of or attending school in 48 designated counties of upstate New York.

Selection is based on the essays, academic performance, participation in school and community activities, work or volunteer experience, personal or family circumstances, recommendations, and financial need.
