The Maryland Education and Training Voucher Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Maryland who have been in foster care and wish to attend college.

Requirements
  • This program is open to Maryland residents who are U.S. citizens or qualified non-citizens between 18 and 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must have been in foster care on their 18th birthday and aged out at that time, have been adopted from foster care with the adoption finalized after their 16th birthday, will have their foster care case closed between 18 and 21 years of age, or were placed in kinship guardianship from foster care after their 16th birthday.
  • They must have been accepted to or be enrolled in a degree, certificate, or other programs at a college, university, technical school, or vocational school and be able to show progress toward that degree or certificate.
