Requirements

This program is open to Maryland residents and/or members of the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Maryland who are the daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, step-daughters, step-granddaughters, or step-great-granddaughters of ex-servicewomen (or of ex-servicemen, if there are no qualified descendants of ex-servicewomen).

Applicants must be interested in attending a school, fulltime, in any state to become a registered nurse and be able to show financial need.

They must submit a 300word essay on the topic "What a Nursing Career Means to Me."
