Michigan Mortuary Science Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to Michigan residents who are interested in preparing for a career in mortuary science.

Requirements

This program is open to students entering or attending a school of mortuary science in any state.

Applicants must have been residents of Michigan for at least 12 months.

They must also view a 5minute video on YouTube and submit their responses to 3 questions raised by the video: 1) how do they see their role and function as a funeral service professional in managing different and difficult families issues and challenges in the event of a death of a loved one; 2) what they anticipate as the greatest challenges or issues as a funeral service professional and how they plan to overcome those difficulties and challenges, and 3) what they think the consumer wants in a funeral or memorial or life celebration.

Selection is based on the submitted material; financial need is not considered.
