Michigan Police Officer's and Fire Fighter's Survivor Tuition Scholarship provides financial assistance to children and spouses of deceased Michigan police officers and firefighters who plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to children and spouses of Michigan police officers (including sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, village or township marshals, police officers of any city or other local jurisdiction, or officer of the state police) or firefighters (including a member, volunteer or paid, of a fire department or other organization who was directly involved in fire suppression) killed in the line of duty.
  • Children must have been younger than 21 at the time of death of the police officer or firefighter and must apply for this assistance before the age of 26.
  • Applicants must have been residents of Michigan for 12 consecutive months prior to applying and able to demonstrate financial need.
