Missouri Mayflower Society Scholarship recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school seniors in Missouri who submit outstanding essays on the Mayflower Pilgrims.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Missouri and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must submit a 750word essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to the Mayflower experience; a recent topic related to the Merchant Adventurers of London and their role in the Mayflower voyage.

They must be U.S. citizens, but they are not required to be Mayflower descendants.

Along with their essay, they must also submit a copy of their high school transcript including GPA and SAT and/or ACT scores, 2 letters of recommendation, and a 1 to a 2-page statement on their goals, interests, activities, honors or awards, employment record, and community service.
