Montana Land Reliance Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school senior and college freshman FFA members in Montana who plan to study a field related to land conservation at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Montana and graduates of those high schools who are enrolled as freshmen at a college or vocational school in any state and planning to major in fields related to the preservation of agricultural lands, fish, and wildlife habitat, open space, or other aspects of land conservation.
  • Applicants must be members of FFA and have completed at least 2 years of agricultural education classes.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement (10 points); FFA leadership, including agricultural education courses completed (15 points); an essay describing their career objectives and why they have selected a career or vocation in agriculture (15 points); their FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project (20 points); an essay on their community service and their role in those activities (10 points); financial need (5 points); a letter of reference from their adviser (5 points), and a letter of reference from a community member (5 points).
