Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors who are graduating from public and private high schools in Minnesota and planning to attend a college, university, technical college, or trade school in any state.
  • Applicants must submit a 500word essay describing how a licensed school counselor at any level has supported them in 1 or more of the following areas: career exploration, educational planning, and/or social-emotional development.
  • The counselor must endorse the application and must be a member of the Minnesota School Counselors Association (MSCA).
  • Selection is based primarily on the essay; financial need is not considered.
