Mu Alpha Theta Two-Year College Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of Mu Alpha Theta (a mathematics honor society) who are attending 2-year colleges.

Requirements

This program is open to Mu Alpha Theta members who are enrolled full or part-time at a 2-year college.

Applicants must submit 1) a 250word essay on their plans for any additional study of mathematics; 2) a 500-word essay on why they should be selected to receive this scholarship; and 3) a 500-word essay on how their involvement with Mu Alpha Theta and your chapter has helped them grow in the field of mathematics, why mathematics is important to them, how it may be a part of their future and their most meaningful mathematical achievements in college.

Selection is based on those essays, service to their local Mu Alpha Theta chapter, GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores, and 2 letters of recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.
