Requirements

This program is open to NYSTA members enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior at a 4-year college or university or as a second-year student at a 2-year college.

Applicants must be working on a degree in turfgrass science or a related field (e.g., landscape design, landscape construction, landscape maintenance, agricultural engineering, soil science, plant pathology, horticulture).

Preference is given to students at schools in New York, although that is not a requirement.

Selection is based on academic performance, work record, ability, potential, and financial need.
