The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors or current college students in Indiana. Students who are pursuing or planning to pursue a career in teaching are eligible to apply. Priority is given to students graduating high school although current college freshmen and sophomore students are eligible to apply.

Requirements
  • Top 20% of class, have a top 20% ACT or SAT score, or minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Resident of Indiana
  • Graduating senior or graduate of an Indiana accredited high school or nonaccredited nonpublic high school
  • Graduating high school senior, or currently enrolled as a college freshman or sophomore
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in education from an eligible college or university in Indiana as a fulltime student
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident, or a nonU.S. citizen eligible for federal financial aid
  • Able to utilize the scholarship for at least two full academic years
  • Agree to obtain a license to teach in Indiana and serve as a teacher at any eligible Indiana school for five consecutive years after college graduation
  • Not be in overpayment or default on a federal student loan or grant
  • Complete the service requirement or have all funds provided converted to a loan that must be repaid Priority is given to students graduating high school although current college freshmen and sophomore students are eligible to apply.
