Nora Van Burgh Development Scholarship provides funding to members of the Wyoming Library Association who are interested in continuing their education.

Requirements

Applicants must have been members of the association for at least 2 years, be residents of Wyoming, and be employed in a Wyoming library.

They may apply for funds for continuing education activities, workshops, seminars, exchanges, and conferences, as well as for college and university courses that directly relate to their effectiveness in a library position.

Nondegreed library employees are particularly encouraged to apply.

The selection criteria are: 1) the goals for the project (including anticipated benefits for personal growth and for the library) are clearly stated (25 points); 2) the amount requested is appropriate, reasonable, adequate, and justifiable to support the stated goals (25 points); 3) the applicant describes measures to determine success and effectiveness of the project (25 points); and 4) the effort includes a plan to publicize the grant (10 points).
